The Goal: All Children
Reading at Grade Level
by Grade Two!

One-in-five of all children will be screened as having some degree of dyslexia when they enter kindergarten. (Yale University, 2021). The most important skills that need to be mastered are Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Sight Words, and Fluency. These skills are the heart of our new Mini App.

So they ALL can shine!

Our App is designed around our beloved Circle Chart Tracking System, which allows teachers to easily track the skill progress of each student in their class, and use that data to organize their students into skill groups for targeted instruction. As a result, teachers, parents and children can celebrate learning every day of the week.

Accessible on Every Device

The Joyful Literacy Reading App is compatible with all devices, including Chromebooks, iPads, Android Tablets, smartphones, and Windows and Mac desktop computers.

A Quick Look at Our Innovative Circle Chart Tracking System

Our App is designed around the unique Circle Chart Planning and Tracking System, which allows teachers to calculate which skills each child needs, and easily organize grouping structures to efficiently meet those needs. As a result, teachers, parents and children can celebrate learning every day of the week.

The Joyful Literacy Dyslexia Essentials Mini App makes skill mastery for all children possible by providing K,1, and 2 teachers with following tools:

A research-based curriculum that focuses on the most impactful K/1 Foundational Skills - consistent with the Science of Reading.

Assessment instructions for each of the four skill sets (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Sight Words and Reading Fluency).

A tracking system that permits teachers to monitor student success daily, weekly, monthly and annually.

A tracking system that permits teachers to group and re-group students based on each skill for small group instruction.

A tracking system that documents whether each child has mastered each skill, needs further explicit instruction and/or practice, or shows no sign of mastery and requires individual attention.

The ability to compare each child’s progress to peers in the same class.

The ability to summarize individual and class progress towards K/1 annual skills and learning outcomes.

The ability to print individual student reports as well as class reports for each skill – invaluable for parent reports.

An instructional planning tool that ensures that each child masters each and every skill.
